TEGAN AND SARA: this Grammy-nominated and fierce LGBT advocate duo mixes indie tunes with more rebellious punk-rock notes, influenced by Nirvana, Holes and Green Day. The outcome? Brilliant.
THE CEREMONIES: described as “80s New Wave nostalgia meets cutting-edge alternative rock”, their lyrics are deep and their tunes vibrant. More than just 4 pretty faces. Don’t miss them live in concert, they’re fantastic.
SLEATER-KINNEY: after some years off, SK came back in 2014 and stronger than ever. They’ve already achieved LEGEND status and their latest work “No cities to love” is a reflection of their entire career.
BARNS COURTNEY: even though his family move to the USA when he was only 4, his English blood is present in his music. His solo EP “Hands” is out and it’s the jam you need.
LUCIOUS: the band was created almost by chance about 10 years ago. Their vintage indie-rock makes them stand out from the rest. And nope, their two lead singers aren’t related even if they’ve been twinning since 2005.
MUDDY MAGNOLIAS: Brooklyn meets Nashville and we can’t resist their baby. These two ladies of very different background met by chance and created the Muddy Magnolias, which has already rocked the latest Lollapalooza festival with their lyrics about “spirituality, love, brokenness, being a woman”. You can read our interview with them here.
SUNFLOWER BEAN: inspired in classic, old-school rock, these New Yorkers dropped their debut album last February so the hell are you waiting for?
